This particular document is known as a Tax Domicile Certificate or Tax Residency Certificate. The authenticity and validity of the domicile tax certificate can be checked online.

Eligibility for Domicile Tax Certificate
There are certain standards to acquire Domicile Tax Certificate in UAE, these are:
- A company operating in UAE mainland
- Free zone Company
- An individual investor/business owner
- An employed individual
- Branch of a foreign company
- Offshore company
- A non-employed individual
UAE tax resident qualifies for Domicile Tax Certificate after six months since UAE resident visa is issued and stamped in an individual’s passport.
Requisite for Tax Domicile Certificate in UAE
Tax Domicile Certificate is issued to the company or individual those are residing in the United Arab Emirates. To apply for tax certificate one has to submit the following documents.
Documents required for individual applicants
- Passport and valid visa copy
- Request Letter from the applicant
- Bank statement not older than 6 months
- Certified Source of income
- NOC from the sponsor revealing the activity and source of income of the individual
Documents required for a Corporate entity
- The company must be operational for more than a year at the time of application
- Trade license
- Lease contract
- Passport copy of the director
- Residence of the director
- Request Letter or application from the company
- Bank statement of last 6 months
- Audited financial accounts
Validity of Domicile Certificate
Corporate/Individual – The domicile tax certificate is valid for 1 year and needs to be renewed on expiry.
The approval of the application takes approximately 2 weeks to issue a domicile tax certificate.
